Apple plans to incorporate the long-awaited M4 chip into its range of Mac computers by the conclusion of the current year. Bloomberg reports that the company will launch new internal processors focused on artificial intelligence (AI). This year, there is a possibility that the company will introduce a new Mac Mini. Nevertheless, Apple has not disclosed any important information so far. Earlier this year, Apple launched the powerful M4 chipset in its latest iPad Pro model.

The report states that Apple intends to utilize the new M4 silicon in a redesigned Mac Mini as well as in an updated lineup of MacBook Pro models. Upcoming iMacs, a 14-inch MacBook Pro with a reduced cost, premium 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros, and Mac Minis equipped with M4 processors are set to be released.

Regarding the M4 chip, the company introduced it at their Let Loose event earlier this year alongside their new iPad Pro model. It utilizes the state-of-the-art 3nm process technology developed by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited, offering enhanced performance and efficiency.

While currently featured in Apple's strongest iPad Pro, the processor is expected to enhance in power and efficiency when it is incorporated into the MacBook Pro and iMac models later this year. Mark Gurman reported that the MacBook Air, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro will also receive the M4 upgrades, although they are not expected to be released until 2025. Apple intends to introduce three main versions of the new chip and incorporate it into all Mac models.

The entry-level M4 chip, codenamed Donan, will power the Mac mini, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro. The Mac Studio, upgraded MacBook Pro models, and an enhanced Mac mini will all feature the inaugural high-end chip known as Brava.

However, as reported by 9To5Mac, the Mac Pro, Apple's priciest desktop computer, is set to receive the new Hydra Chip.

According to the report, the main function of the M4 chip will be to enhance computer performance, with one particular Mac model experiencing notable transformations. This is potentially the upcoming Mac mini model that is forecasted by this analyst to be released within the year.

In 2023, the company unveiled their latest Mac mini edition featuring the M2 chip. There have been no significant updates to the Mac Mini models since then.
