Google is all set to unveil its latest hardware lineup, the Pixel 9 series, Pixel Watch 3, and more at the highly anticipated "Made by Google" event on August 13. The company may also unveil the Pixel Watch 3 series and the Pixel Buds Pro 2. Expectations are high for the tech giant as Google could announce enhanced Gemini AI features and Android 15.

Made by Google Event 2024: What to Expect?
Pixel 9 Series:
The Pixel 9 series is expected to be the star of the show. Reports suggest Google will introduce three models: the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and a larger Pixel 9 Pro XL. The devices are rumoured to feature the new Tensor G4 chip, promising improved performance and AI capabilities.

Camera upgrades are also anticipated, focusing on computational photography and video. The Pixel 9 Pro will likely boast advanced telephoto and ultrawide lenses, while the entire lineup could benefit from enhanced night photography.

Pixel Fold:
One of the most exciting prospects is the debut of the Pixel Fold. Google has been rumoured to work on a foldable smartphone for some time, and this year could be the year it finally materializes. If launched, the Pixel Fold will compete directly with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series.

Expectations are high for a premium build, large inner display, and innovative software features that take advantage of the foldable form factor.

Pixel Watch 3:
The Pixel Watch 3 is also expected to make an appearance. While the original Pixel Watch was a solid debut, the sequel is anticipated to refine the design, improve battery life, and introduce new health and fitness features.

A faster processor and expanded app support could also be added to the cards, enhancing the overall smartwatch experience.

Beyond Phones and Wearables

Google often uses its hardware events to showcase other products. We could see new Pixel Buds with improved audio quality and noise cancellation. Additionally, the company might unveil updates to its smart home ecosystem, including Nest devices.

Android 15 and Gemini AI

Android 15: The event, which is in beta trials right now, could be the day for the new stable release of Android 15. It may arrive with Private Space, App Archiving, Theft Detection Lock, and more features. The rumour mill claims the Pixel 9 series will launch with Android 14 and receive Android 15 via an OTA update after launch.

Gemini Al: Google is said to brand its renewed push towards Al under the "Google Al" banner. The new Al features may include "Add Me" to add people in group photos, "Pixel Screenshots" to capture key details from screengrabs, and other Al features. These could include image editing and text enhancements. The company may also showcase a new Al-powered Weather app at the event.

The "Made by Google" event is shaping up to be a significant one for the tech giant. With a strong focus on hardware and software integration, Google aims to solidify its position in the competitive tech market.

All eyes will be on the event to see if Google can deliver on the hype and introduce products that truly resonate with consumers.
