OnePlus Open to Get a New Apex Edition Soon in India: Check All Details
OnePlus Open 5G will soon be getting a new Apex edition in India. The smartphone company has made the announcement via a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). The foldable phone has been teased to come in a new colourway called Crimson Shadow. Check out all details about the upcoming launch here.
OnePlus Open Apex Edition Teased
The teaser shared by OnePlus on X (formerly Twitter), the first foldable phone from the brand is getting a new Apex Edition in a new shade called Crimson Shadow. The handset has been shown in a shade of crimson with a vegan leather back. The Chinese OEM says that this new colour of the OnePlus Open is inspired by its signature “Never Settle” red. It will join the existing OnePlus Open's colours i.e., Emerald Dusk and Voyager Black.
Notably, rthe phone might get an upgrade in terms of RAM and storage configuration, however, it is most likely to retain the similar specifications as the standard version. It is expected to be an enhanced edition of the OnePlus Open.
Meanwhile, OnePlus did not reveal any other specifications of the upcoming Apex Edition.
OnePlus Open: Price and Specifications
Talking about the features, the foldable phone from OnePlus sports a 7.82-inch 2K Flexi-fluid LTPO 3.0 AMOLED primary display offering a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate and up to 2,800 nits of peak brightness. The outer display measures 6.31-inch in size and gets a 2K LTPO 3.0 Super Fluid AMOLED panel along with the same refresh rate and peak brightness numbers as the inner screen.
It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip coupled with an Adreno 740 GPU, 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Open runs on Android 13-based OxygenOS 13.2 out-of-the-box.
For photography, the OnePlus Open comes with a Hasselblad-branded triple camera setup led by a 48-megapixel Sony LYT-T808 primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and electronic image stabilisation (EIS). There is also a 64-megapixel 3X telephoto camera with an OmniVision OV64B sensor, and a 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies, it houses a 20-megapixel front camera on the inner display and a 32-megapixel camera on the cover display.
The handset is backed by a dual-cell 4,800mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC charging support via USB Type-C.
