Samsung's newly launched foldable smartphones Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are finally live for sale in India. The company had showcased its foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, alongside Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch 7 at the Galaxy Unpacked event 2024 held earlier this month. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 price and offers on Amazon

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Samsung's premium foldable device, is available in three storage configurations with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 1,64,999. The 512GB variant is available at Rs 1,76,999, while the top-tier 1TB option is priced at Rs 2,00,999. Additionally, you can get a flat discount of Rs 15,000 on HDFC bank cards and an exchange offer of up to Rs 58,700. You can chose from Navy, Pink, or Silver Shadow colour options.

The more compact Galaxy Z Flip 6 with 12GB RAM with 256GB storage model comes at a starting price of Rs 1,09,999, while the 512GB variant cost Rs 1,21,999. You can avail the same bank offer and exchange value as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 on this clamshell-style foldable. The handset comes in Blue, Mint, and Silver Shadow colourways.

Starting with the top of the line Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, the outer screen is a 6.3-inch with HD+ (968x2,376 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display offering 410ppi pixel density. When unfolded, it sports a 7.6-inch QXGA+ (1,856x2,160 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display with a 374ppi pixel density. Both the outer as well as inner display have an adaptive refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz.

For photography, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 comes with a triple outer camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel wide angle camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with a 123-degree field-of-view, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. It also sports a 10-megapixel selfie camera on the cover display and a 4-megapixel camera located under the inner screen.

Furthermore, the phablet style phone packs a 4,400mAh battery that comes with a charging support of 25W with Samsung's wired charger that is sold separately. It also offers support for Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare for charging accessories.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 sports a 3.4-inch (720x748 pixels) Super AMOLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and 306ppi pixel density. When unfolded, it sports a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ (1,080x2,640 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display with a refresh rate ranging between 1Hz and 120Hz.

For the optics, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is equipped with a 50-megapixel wide angle camera along with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera and a 123-degree field-of-view. On the inner display, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 features a 10-megapixel selfie camera. It is backed by a smaller 4,000mAh battery, with the same charging specifications as its larger sibling. Both the smartphones are a dual-SIM (Nano or Nano+eSIM) handset that runs on Android 14-based Samsung's One UI 6.1.1 skin on top. The phones are powered by a custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy Mobile Platform from Qualcomm. Paired with 12GB of RAM, the chipset is capable of handling multitask like a breeze and offering fast offers.

Dubbed as Perplexity Assistant is now available for download on the Google Play Store in 15 different languages. The company has said that the newly launch AI assistant app will perform a variety of tasks within other apps on users' command. According to Perplexity AI, the newly launched AI assistant will do a variety of tasks like any other digital assistants. From making reservations, to booking rides, setting reminders, and more, it will let users streamline their work with just one command. With this Perplexity will become potential rival to the already-established AI assistants in the market like Apple's Siri, Alexa, ChatGPT and more. This San Francisco-based startup is backed by some of the top players of the industry including tech giant Nvidia and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

The availability of app will also be expanded to iOS devices, once the developers get the necessary permissions from Apple. “If Apple gives us the right permissions, we’re ready to launch on iOS,” the company said.

Perplexity’s announcement comes just after OpenAI announced “Tasks” for its Team and Pro users on the web. The latter is said to improve users' experience by offering a more integrated and useful assistant experience.

Meanwhile, Apple and Amazon are also working on their respective voice assistants. Apple at its iPhone 16 launch event, announced a new version of Siri incorporating Apple Intelligence. They have also partnered with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT into their devices.

On the other hand, Amazon too is said to release a refreshed version of Alexa in the near future. CEO Andy Jassy has confirmed that the voice assistant will get an updated version in the coming months to compete in this rapidly evolving sector.

Samsung has launched the latest Galaxy S25 series 5G at its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event held in San Jose. While the center stage has been taken by the Galaxy S23 Ultra and the Galaxy AI, a new member to the series- Galaxy S25 Edge has also been announced at the event, bringing a culmination to months of rumours. The teased smartphone will join the Galaxy S25 lineup, comprising Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. While the rumors and reports have been suggesting that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge could debut with the Galaxy S25 Slim moniker, but it seems like Samsung wants to bring back ‘Edge' branding instead.

The new handset has been shown to sport a slim form factor and what sets it apart from other models in Samsung's new flagship lineup is the camera setup. While all three handsets in the Galaxy S25 series packs a triple rear camera setup, the new Galaxy S25 Edge will come with a dual rear camera unit comprising two lenses positioned vertically at the back.

Notably, the phone hasn't join the Galaxy S25 series launch, instead it is likely to debut in May this year. Though the company hasn't revealed any features yet, the reports suggest that the new handset could get a 6.66-inch display, which should be similar to the Galaxy S25+ model. It is also said to sport a 6.4mm thin profile without the camera module, while it may measure 8.3mm in thickness around the camera unit.

For optics, it is likely to ship with a 200-megapixel primary sensor led dual rear camera setup. Other kleaked details suggest that the phone could pack a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for Galaxy, paired with 12GB of RAM. Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge may run on Android 15-based One UI 7 out-of-the-box. In terms of pricing, it is rumored to be positioned between the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
