Redmi A4 5G which debuted last week is now live for sale in India. The phone has been launched to introduce 5G connectivity to a more budget-conscious buyers. Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has expanded its 5G smartphone lineup with the newly launched Redmi A4 5G in the entry-level segment. The phone has comes priced under Rs 10,000 to offer 5G connectivity support to budget-conscious buyers. The handset is also the first smartphone in India to pack a Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset. At 12 p.m. IST today, the Redmi A4 5G is scheduled to go on sale in India for the first time . The phone is available for purchase on Amazon.in, mi.com, and at Xiaomi's physical retail locations. The base 4GB/64GB Redmi A4 5G model costs Rs 8,499 in India, while the 4GB/128GB model costs Rs 9,499 in the same country. Starry Black and Sparkle Purple are the available color options for the Redmi A4 5G.

Redmi A4 5G specifications
The Redmi A4 5G comes with a 6.88-inch touchscreen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 720x1640 pixels (HD+). An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor powers the Redmi A4 5G. It has four gigabytes of RAM. The Redmi A4 5G is powered by a non-removable 5160mAh battery and runs Android 14. On the camera front, the Redmi A4 5G has a 50-megapixel camera with an f/1.8 aperture on the back. With a 5-megapixel sensor and an f/2.2 aperture, it has a single front camera setup for selfies.

The 64GB of built-in storage on the Redmi A4 5G, which runs HyperOS and is based on Android 14, can be increased with a microSD card (up to 1–24GB) that has a dedicated slot. A dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) phone that supports Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards is the Redmi A4 5G. The Redmi A4 5G weighs 212.35 grams and has dimensions of 171.88 x 77.80 x 8.22 mm (height x width x thickness). Starry Bllack and Sparkling Purple were its initial colors.
