HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has introduced its latest smartphone, the HMD Skyline, in India. The device is designed with a focus on sustainability and user repairability. The price of the 12GB + 256GB HMD Skyline option in India is Rs. 35,999. Twisted Black and Neon Pink are the available color options for the phone. It can be bought in the nation from Amazon, the HMD India website, and physical retail outlets.
HMD Skyline Specifications
The 6.55-inch full-HD+ (1,800 x 2,400 pixel) pOLED screen on the HMD Skyline has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and a maximum brightness level of 1,000 nits. It has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC with 12GB and 256GB of RAM installed. The phone comes pre-installed with Android 14.
The HMD Skyline's optics consist of three rear camera units: a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, a 13-megapixel sensor combined with an ultrawide lens, and a 108-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. A 50-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls is located in the front camera.
HMD has equipped the Skyline with a Custom Button, which is placed on the left edge. By using the press and hold and double press actions, it can be customized to carry out various tasks. The company claims that the phone supports HMD Gen 2 repairability. Customers can replace the display if it gets damaged by unscrewing the back panel with the self-repair kit that is included. The smartphone has dual speakers that support Qualcomm aptX Adaptive audio.
A 4,600mAh swappable battery that supports 33W wired fast charging powers the HMD Skyline. It also supports 5W reverse wireless charging and 15W magnetic wireless charging. There is no charger included with the phone. Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, OTG, and USB Type-C are among the connectivity options.
The HMD Skyline has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The phone is splash and dust resistant, with an IP54 build rating. It weighs 210g and is 160.0 x 76.0 x 9.0 mm in size.
